K Baker Young (they/them/their) is a white fat queer trans disabled artist, writer, poet and survivor who lives and works in occupied Massa-adchu-es-et (Massachusett) and Naumkeag territories (the so-called Greater Boston area). They completed a residency in February 2020 at Wellspring House in Ashfield, MA, and were the winner of Arlington Center for the Art’s 2017 Emerging Artist Award. Their poems have been published in the Wilderness House Literary Review. They use a wide range of materials to create drawings, collages and mixed media pieces on intimate scales that highlight texture and pattern. Their work is increasingly focused on trauma, mental health, chronic illness and disability. They are also an experienced outdoor leader and outdoor leadership training instructor, and a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation. They have led outings exploring the intersections between art, literature and nature and the environment.

Through their work as a leader, facilitator, and instructor, they have facilitated discussions in a variety of spaces about oppression, liberation, trauma, queerness and transness, mental health, fandom, art and writing.
